High Intent is led by its founder and CEO, Bill Alena, a revenue and growth executive who has spent more than 25 years scaling dating companies.

As CRO of myYearbook, he built the revenue operation from $0 to $100M+. As CRO of The Meet Group (NASDAQ: MEET), he ran all monetization (advertising, subscription, and in-app) for a public dating company and helped grow it through four acquisitions. As Chief Investment & Growth Officer of Social Discovery Group, he grew revenue from $200M to $350M, led M&A, and ran a corporate venture fund dedicated to the dating ecosystem.

Behind him sits a team of industry insiders and experts with over 100 years of online dating experience between them. They have built, run, marketed, and sold dating businesses at every scale. Bill is the face of High Intent. The bench behind him is the rest of the answer.

The thesis

The thesis is simple: dating is going intentional. People are done with endless swiping and casual churn. They want clarity, real intent, and a genuine shot at a relationship, online and offline. The companies that serve that shift will define the next decade of the industry, and they deserve better than sponsored coverage, generalist consultants, and brokers who have never run a dating business.

So High Intent reports on the industry honestly, gives builders a platform that solves the cold start, puts operators in their corner, or runs the department outright, and brings capital to the table. Helping people meet people, not profiles.
